Andrew Marcus is the healthcare software lead at Asymmetrik, with over 15 years of experience with web technologies. He has spent the past 3 years leading Asymmetrik’s cloud infrastructure, devops, security and web development projects for one of the Maryland region’s largest healthcare networks. He was also instrumental in Asymmetrik’s win of the ONC Secure FHIR Server challenge, as well as a recent patient-facing FHIR app for assessing cardiovascular risk. Andrew is a passionate advocate for better healthcare interoperability and delightful patient experiences through wider adoption of the FHIR standard. In his spare time Andrew is an accomplished accordionist, and has written and recorded songs about FHIR with the Asymmetrik house band.
