Cleveland, OH | Hybrid Edition

June 6-9, 2022

Join us for the hybrid event of HL7 FHIR DevDays International, which will be held in Cleveland, OH (USA), and/or through your screens!

Do you need FHIR in your day-to-day job?
DevDays is where you can learn all about FHIR and sharpen your FHIR expertise. DevDays is where the FHIR community lives and thrives.

Since 2014, DevDays brings together FHIR implementers from all over the world to learn about FHIR and build relationships. Due to Covid-19, DevDays events were pivoted to virtual editions. As we believe that in-person contact is essential as well, we have decided to go hybrid. We will facilitate those who cannot or don’t want to travel with access to premium FHIR content. Simultaneously, we will host the in-person event for people who thrive on personal connections and appreciate face-to-face meetings.

Call for Presentations will open in December 2021 and the deadline for submission will be February 1st, 2022.
Registration will open in March 2022.

Are you interested to see the content from previous editions? All available material can be found on our Previous Events webpage.

DevDays COVID Protection Policy

After a review of the most current evidence provided by public health and safety experts, the DevDays organizers have determined that HL7 FHIR DevDays can be the most robust, productive, interactive, and safe conference possible by requiring full COVID-19 vaccination (as defined by your country/domicile) for entry.

  • The DevDays organizers will utilize one or more digital health applications to confirm that the vaccination status of each attendee and staff member complies with the applicable right of entry protocols.
  • The anticipated tool(s) will display an HL7 FHIR DevDays pass status that will be confirmed in order to permit entry for attendees and staff.

Right of Entry

The DevDays organizers had defined specific Right of Entry Protocols that reflect these principles and that comply with prevailing local regulations in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The organizers will continue to adopt the most recent requirements for the Right of Entry Protocols.

At this time for the purposes of right of entry to HL7 FHIR DevDays, a person is considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

This guidance applies to COVID-19 vaccines authorized for use and for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (i.e., Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson (J&J)/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines), and COVID-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization (i.e., AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covishield, Sinopharm, and Sinovac), for which a second dose has been administered two weeks prior to June 6, 2022.

The full list of vaccines with the final WHO EUL/PQ evaluation status is available hereThe DevDays organizers may expand the list of vaccines, provide more specific guidance regarding mixed vaccination dosing, and/or provide additional guidance regarding boosters as prevailing public health guidance evolves.
