Personal Connected Health Alliance/Continua, Canada
Melanie Yeung is a Manager at the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation (UHN) in Toronto Canada and will represent the Personal Connected Health Alliance, maker of the Continua Guidelines for personal health interoperability. Melanie has a Master’s degree in Clinical Engineering and has been involved in interoperability standards for over five years working on device standards as well as experience integrating medical devices into EMRs and smartphone applications. Besides her work on Continua Guidelines, she currently is vice-chair of the Bluetooth SIG Medical Expert Working Group contributing to specifications including Continuous Glucose Monitor Profile, Insulin Delivery Service Profile, and cybersecurity. As well, Melanie is a member of the IEEE Personal Health Device working group and leads the development and discussion of the ISO/IEEE 11073-10419 Insulin Pump standard.
